This portable, 1920 x 1080 resolution monitor is designed to be used on set, in the studio, and for broadcast use. The monitor features an a-Si TFT Active Matrix LCD that features two 3G-SDI inputs, two SDI outputs, two HDMI inputs, one composite input, and one composite output.<\/p>\n

The monitor also features stereo audio input and output, a speaker, and a headphone output. It can be managed remotely using Ethernet, and tally and image metadata can be displayed on the screen via Ethernet. There are numerous built-in image tools such as waveform, grid, markers, flip, anamorphic conversion, 2K input, white adjustment, and more.<\/p>\n

Color Consistency and High Dynamic Range<\/p>\n

Thanks to Premium LCD technology, the color gamut is wide and the same as the color gamut of BVM-HX3110, BVM-HX310, PVM-X3200, PVM-X2400, PVM-X1800, and LMD-A240. Their colors are matched to each other on the screens. And the monitor supports ITU-R BT.2020, DCI-P3, S-GAMUT\/S-GAMUT3\/S-GAMUT3.cine, sRGB, and Adobe RGB.<\/p>\n

The LMD-A180 supports EOTFs of ITU-R BT.2100(HLG), SMPTE ST2084, S-Log 3, S-Log3(Live HDR), S-Log2 and 2.4(HDR). When selecting one of the HDR EOTFs, the monitor automatically sets the backlight of its panel to the maximum luminance. With its wide color gamut, the LMD-A180 displays color reproduction that is close to that of Sony master monitors such as BVM-HX310. This allows LMD-A180 to easily and smoothly integrate into HDR production workflows.<\/p>\n

Video Input Versatility<\/p>\n

The LMD-A180 monitor is equipped with built-in standard input interfaces: two 3G\/HD\/SD-SDI, one HDMI (HDCP), and one composite.<\/p>\n

In-Monitor Display (IMD) Function<\/p>\n

With an external remote function via Ethernet, image source names and tally information can be displayed onscreen. LMD-A Series monitors support the TSL system protocol. The IMD system can display European language text including umlaut and accent marks.<\/p>\n

False Color Function<\/p>\n

The monitor can display false color according to the signal level from a camera. As the whole picture is changed, it is easy to see levels for overexposure, underexposure, or appropriate exposure. You can adjust these levels and turn the scale of false color on and off, as required.<\/p>\n

Mounting Capabilities<\/p>\n

The monitor includes screw holes on its side bezels for yoke mounting for installing a monitor to a camera crane or monitor stand. There are also wall mount 100mm pitch holes on each monitor’s rear panel.<\/p>\n

The monitor is equipped with a detachable handle for portable applications. It can be removed to reduce weight when installed in a monitor wall or when it is rack mounted with the optional MB-L18.<\/p>\n

Computer Input Versatility<\/p>\n

Multiple computer signals can be received via an HDMI\/DVI interface; the resolution range is from 640 x 480 to 1680 x 1050 pixels.<\/p>\n

Network Control Function<\/p>\n

The LMD-A180 has a network control function that allows you to upgrade the monitor software by Ethernet. The network capability can also be utilized for the central control of multiple units in a system environment.<\/p>\n
